The Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG) is a sport stadium in Sydney, Australia. It is used for Test cricket, One Day International cricket, Twenty 20 cricket an d Australia rules footbal, as well as some rugby league footbal and rugby union matcches. It is the home ground for the New South Wales Blue Cricket team, the Sydney Sixers of the Big Bash League and the Sydney Swans Australia Footbal League club. It is owned and operated by the SCG Trust that also manages the Sydney Footbal Stadium located nexs door. Until the 44, 000 seat Football Stadium was opened in 1988, the Sydney Cricket Ground was the major rugby league venue in Sydney.
